Arabinose

Arabinose is an aldopentose — a monosaccharide containing five carbon atoms, and including an aldehyde functional group. It has chemical formula C₅H₁₀O₅. L-arabinose has the same configuration at its penultimate carbon atom as L-glyceraldehyde.
